Route: Welton Dale
Area: East Yorkshire
Date of walk: 17th July 2014
Walkers: Andrew and Fiona
Distance: 3.6 miles
Weather: sunny and very hot
We parked opposite the Green Dragon pub in the attractive village of Welton and walked out of the village past St Helen’s Church. On the outskirts of the village we joined the Yorkshire Wolds Way where Bonnie wasted no time in jumping into the millpond to cool down – it was a scorching hot afternoon
Our route took us along the foot of Welton Dale – a beautiful section of the walk – and shortly after the end of the dale we turned back towards the start to follow a path which is part of the Beverley 20, and which gave us great views over the River Humber
We arrived back in Welton hot but happy after a really enjoyable short walk
