Route: Wauldby Circular
Area: East Yorkshire
Date of walk: 11th October 2015
Walkers: Andrew and Gilly
Distance: 3.4 miles
Ascent: 200 feet
Weather: sunny
We parked on the verge of the green lane leading to Little Wauldby Farm and walked along the lane and past the farm to Wauldby Dam, part of Wauldby Manor Farm
Here we joined the Yorkshire Wolds Way for a short distance (which reminded me I have unfinished business on this long walk), turning off the path at Turtle Hill
We then walked along the valley bottom as far as Nut Wood, at which point we headed uphill along the edge of the wood back to the top of the wold, and from there retraced our steps back to the start
A pleasant walk – and in my case a perfect antidote to yesterday’s over indulgence at a family wedding
