Thorp Perrow Arboretum boasts one of the finest collections of trees and shrubs in the country. I’d last visited here in Autumn 2014 but the garden is known for having interest all year round and I was keen to see it in spring
I made a beeline for the bluebell woods which were on fine form and just about at their peak
Although a map of the garden is provided at the entrance (which helpfully highlights the best areas to visit according to the season), I didn’t follow a particular route and simply wandered around where my fancy took me. There are innumerable tempting paths, all of which offer different things at different times of the year
I had a thoroughly enjoyable time here and hope to return during another season to see what else is on offer
