Route: Skidby and Risby Park
Area: East Yorkshire
Date of walk: 30th June 2013
Walkers: Andrew Gilly and Fiona
Distance: 6.7 miles
Ascent; 400 feet
We parked in the public car park by Skidby Windmill and, after walking past the mill, the path took us through open farmland and through the west end of the village
After reaching the site of the medieval village of Risby, of which there is no visible evidence apart from earthworks, we walked through more farmland to Risby Park Farm
We turned right at the farm to enter Risby Park and walked through the attractive grounds. We then walked alongside Fishpond Wood and back through Skidby village to our start point near the windmill
We all agreed that it had been a morning well spent
