Route: Latrigg
Area: Northern Lake District
Date of walk: 14th June 2013
Walkers: Andrew Gilly and David
Distance: 6.6 miles
Ascent: 700 feet
We parked along Briar Rigg and walked up the easy track which forms part of the Cumbria Way
The view from the top of Latrigg was stunning, comprising the whole of Keswick, Derwent Water and large chunks of the rest of the Lake District
After savouring the view for a while, we followed the gentle path down to Brundholme, enjoying more lovely views along the way
We then joined the old railway line which runs beside the River Greta. This easy track, attractive throughout, quickly took us back into Keswick and we then walked through Fitz Park back to the car
It was a wonderful three hour excursion
